An Initial assessment is the first session conducted by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) that will cover the client’s injury/condition. An initial assessment generally includes:
- Full medical and health history
- Communication and collaboration with any medical/health professionals relevant to your health and wellbeing
- Goal setting and treatment plan
- Pre assessments to determine strength, balance, range of motion, imbalances, dysfunction
- Postural and/or functional assessments
- Review timelines established to ensure you are meeting your goals and progressing
- Education and resources
Reviews and reassessments are conducted on a regular basis and as needed to review goals, treatment plans and to provide reports to other medical and health professionals
